Many of today's fiber and quilting enthusiasts are eager to express themselves through creating one-of-a-kind art quilts--but they may not have the foundational quilting or fiber art skills to get going. At long last, Patricia Bolton, founder and editor in chief of Quilting Arts Magazine has assembled a compilation of exciting and fun art-quilting techniques to inspire both the new and seasoned fiber artist to develop their skills and boost their confidence in creating unique art quilts.

The Quilting Arts Book: Techniques & Inspiration for Creating One-of-Kind Art Quilts showcases some of the most popular topics, articles, and artists from past issues of Quilting Arts Magazine as well as presents new and fresh techniques offered by today's most respected contemporary quilt artists. This book offers hands-on workshops on everything art-quilt related, including creating abstract, pictorial, and landscape quilts to in-depth techniques on surface design and stitching applications. Each chapter showcases various art quilting concepts and ends with quick creative exercises and tips guaranteed to get you creating with cloth right away. The Quilting Arts Book also includes a stunning and comprehensive gallery of art quilts by the world's leading quilt artists. It's Art Quilting 101 in a book!
